    The Cooperative Difference

Ready to make the world a kinder place? One of the ways cooperatives believe people express their appreciation to the rest of humanity is by creating something truly wonderful for others to enjoy. This simple act of being part of something bigger than you creates kindness that in turn transmits to others. That is what it means to be connected to a cooperative.

Kindness is built into the Principles that guide all co-ops, credit unions, and mutuals; and we are in a unique position to have a massive impact on society. There are more than 30 thousand cooperatives, employing more than 2.1 million people, with more than 120 million members in the United States. Now more than ever, it’s time to come together and influence the direction of our society to become more thoughtful, equitable, and kind.

Take the #Coops4Kindness pledge and commit to acts of kindness that will make a difference – no matter how small or how large – to those around you.
